Annual Meeting?
by pauluk inthe watchtower annual meeting is traditionally held the 1st saturday in october which is today, usually there are topics and speculations leading up to this but i've not seen anything on here or reddit this year.
has it been cancelled this year, anyone know?

Betcha Atlantis & Petra will be the 1st to know! They'll fill us in as soon as they find out something.
WT did the same thing last year...they kept it low key until the day of the annual meeting. If y'all recall that's when they made a 180° about-face regarding Joel's prophecy about the locusts and all that bullshit!

I wouldn't put it past media to change the color balance on Biden's camera to make his makeup look less "orange" than Trump's.
Media has been caught before making Trump's "orange" makeup look more orange than it is in reality.The truth of the matter is that Trump suffers from Jaundice which explains the 'orange' look. Jaundice is a condition that infants and big babies have to deal with until they grow out of it! :)

Morris has something really dark and really ugly inside his soul. He tries to hide it, or drown it in scotch, but every so often it is exposed.
I agree Funky...as mean and vengeful as he sounds it makes you wonder who or what got in his head! The older he gets the grumpier he'll become...especially as exJWs continue to exit this cult & speakout via YouTube videos, forums and other internet chatrooms.

Why Jehovah`s Witnesses are wrong emphasising the name Jehovah.
by smiddy3 inhi friends, feel free to correct me where i`m wrong with this post.after all it`s just my observation of jw`s and the bible.. in the beginning of gods dealings with adam it was on a personal level , god to man so to speak.. god then dealt with humans via the patriarchs , then with the levi priesthood ,then judges ,( and a woman was a judge ) then kings ,somewhere in between all of this prophets played a major part ,and then came jesus christ the messiah.. and to my knowledge god has not validated a successor to him with any evidence i`ve seen .. jehovah`s witnesses claim to be christians but have with no new testament backing usurped jesus with jehovah.. this period of time ,until god says otherwise ,christians are to give honour and glory to none other than jesus christ .. that is the name that is above any other name until god says otherwise.
phil.2:9-11. not the name jehovah .the bible never says anything about a kingdom of jehovah ,the coming kingdom is the kingdom of jesus christ with his associate 144,000 earthly subjects.. this is just my understanding of what the bible actually says .. whether i believe it or not is another matter..

Forget the origin of this man-made name...the fact that Jesus himself never mentions the name nor does he spend any time correcting the then Jews and his disciples for not using the name in worship speaks volumes about how not so Divine this concoction of a name by a Spanish Monk in the 13th century is!

You Know You're A Jehovah's Witness When...
by pale.emperor inyou know you're a jehovah's witness when.... being offered a scholarship to a good university is considered a bad thing.. when you see a house you like you claim it for after your god kills the owner.. you recieve spiritual guidence from a bus driver and a window washer.. you're engaged to a person you only met 3 months ago.. your widowed mother is marrying a man she met at the convention who she's known for 2 weeks.. there's jehovah's witnesses meeting in your house on a saturday morning to talk about going out knocking on doors on a saturday morning.. a lie in on a weekend happens about twice a year.. you dont talk to your own parents/children because they have a different opinion about a magazine.. you're not quite sure what you're supposed to believe anymore.. when someone criticizes your a magazine you feel like you're being attacked.. your 3yo son owns a suit.. if you're not married by the age of 30 you're considered to be gay or something wrong with you.. (for girls) if you havent married the first or second person you've dated you're considered promiscuous or something wrong with you.. you get your scientific knowledge from a magazine written by people who've never been to college and have never actually read the source they claim to be citing.. you get excited if there's a storm or natural disaster.. you get excited when there's a terrorist attack.. you get excited when there's a pandemic.. your version of tinder is the lunch break at a convention.. your girlfriend dresses like her grandmother.. your grandparents, despite being in the same religion as you, died believing totally a different belief system..

how about if they changed the name to tetragrammaton witnesses ?

Or maybe...YHWH's Witnesses or put another way...Witnesses for YHWH!
This way WT can finally truly say that they have gotten rid of any and all vestiges or traces of false religion. After all the name 'Jehovah' did indeed originate with the Catholic Church who JWs in their literature have often referred the C. C. to The Mother of Harlots!
